Jean-Claude Coisnon, son and grandson of farmers, takes over the family farm in Méréville (91) and creates SARL JC COISNON. He builds his first silo to launch his grain trading business.
SARL JC COISNON is approved as a grain storage organization. At the same time, potato cultivation begins on the farm, covering some twenty hectares. In order to diversify the business, the first potato fridge is built to store potatoes for several months after harvest. The potato trading business is launched.
In order to increase production areas, collaboration is established with neighboring farmers and the first production agreements are signed. To ensure the potato harvest, ETA COISNON (society of farm works) is created and offers its services to growers.
Purchase of "La Dimancheville", washing and packing center for potatoes in Le Puiset (28). This is an opportunity for the company to enter the washed potato market, selling to the main wholesale markets in France and to supermarkets.
Groupe Coisnon currently runs 5 farms, one of which is certified organic. Grain storage facilities include 2 collection sites with a capacity of 35,000 tons. The fridges store 50,000 tons of potatoes, and the packing center enables production to be washed and bagged.
